Derek Rose - 2019 UCC Champion

Derek Rose has seized the 2019 Ultimate Callout Challenge Championship! Putting down massive power on the dyno, Derek's Freedom Racing Engine put out an incredible 2,503 HP and 3,783 foot lbs. of torque - setting the record for the highest recorded dyno numbers at a UCC event ever! Derek has a long history of competing in the UCC that has led up to his win in Indianapolis:

At the inaugural UCC in 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah, Rose and his team finished in 5th place on the dyno with an incredible run of nearly 2,050 HP and almost 2,800 foot lbs. of torque. He then finished in 3rd place on the drag strip with a 9.4 second pass in the ¼ mile and in sled pulling he took 8th place with a pull of 277 feet. Finally, he took 5th place overall and went home knowing there was a lot more left to improve upon.

In 2017, Rose and the DNR Customs team came to Indianapolis as a force to be reckoned with. On the drag strip, Rose scrambled for traction, still managing to finish in 2nd place with a 9.1 second ¼ mile pass. When the truck was on the dyno it was the first to break the 2,000 HP mark, but ultimately finishing in 3rd place.  Knowing that with a good hook in the sled pull competition, he could take the overall win. He pushed the truck as hard as he could making it to the 310 foot mark, leaving Rose with a 3rd place finish and 2nd overall for the event, making Rose the only competitor to be on the podium for each of the three events.

For 2018, Rose landed himself at the top of the podium for the dyno, exceeding 2,300 HP which was a great improvement over 2017. Unfortunately, he did not come in 1st for sled pulling or drag, but that didn’t stop him from landing in the 2nd place overall position.
