John Benshoof  - General Manager

John began his career in drag racing  over a decade ago with David Powers Motorsports, where he was hired by Crew Chief Lee Beard to be the “tire guy” for Antron Brown's top fuel dragster team. The team was later acquired by Mike Ashley Racing, at which time John was promoted to Cylinder Head Specialist, a role he continued under further acquisition by Don Schumacher Racing until the end of the 2012 season after winning the Top Fuel Points Championship. John’s background and experience with race-proven machining and engine build techniques translates directly into Freedom’s race winning engine recipes as well as our street and performance series products.
